Frequently Asked Questions
Our goal is to position CWC saints to be equipped for the work of the ministry and make that process as smooth as possible for every to get plugged in! Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about our serving process.
1.
When can i start serving?
We ask that you attend CWC for 6 months before serving. This not only helps you really know who we are but gives you an opportunity to get connect with other believers in any one of our ministry groups. Life groups are one of the ways to get connected and are smaller fellowship groups that meet outside of the church to connect and do life together. (link) You can find the other ministries available located on our website.
2.
How do i sign up to serve?
After your 6 months of attending Calvary is complete, the first step is to attend our DNA class. Our DNA class is required for all our volunteers, and it walks you through the history of CWC, helps you set-up a CORE account, and explains all the different volunteer ministries we have here at CWC. You can take the DNA class any time during your first 6 months of attendance, however we just ask that you wait to sign up to serve until after your 6 months is complete.
3.
how many ministries can i serve in?
Great question! After prayerfully considering the different ministries, you can serve in as many ministries as you feel the Lord is calling you to. We do however ask, that you get plugged in with one ministry at a time. That way you learn the requirements of your desired ministry and make sure that it is a good fit before jumping into too many ministries all at once!
4.
When is the dna class?
Our DNA class is again required for all volunteers to take before serving. We offer it the 2nd Sunday of every month in our Student Building in the High School room starting at 1:45 pm – 2:45 pm. You do not have to sign up to attend. You only have to take this class once in order serve. It is not necessary to take the class multiple times to get plugged into different ministries. There is no childcare available, and we do ask that before youth start serving that they take this class as well.
I'm Ready to Serve!
