Born and raised in Southern California, I spent the first 24 years of my life without Jesus Christ. One day, while stumbling upon a Christian radio broadcast, I received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of my life and I have never been the same. Since that time, I began attending various Calvary Chapel’s, simply serving wherever there was a need. Early on, I was asked to teach and lead in various ministries; and often taught bible studies at home and work. Even though I was heavily involved in ministry and sat under great teaching pastors, I still found myself hungering to know and grow more in God’s word and service. Therefore I decided to attend CCBC-Golden Springs from 2001-2004. Upon completion of Bible College, it was evident that my spiritual gifting included Teaching, Encouraging, and Administration; gifts that I wanted to exercise in a place wherever God would send me. By faith, I therefore quit my job, sold my house and moved my family to Colorado Springs to see what the Lord would do. As I began to attend Calvary Worship Center in late 2006, and the Lord opened a door to become their children’s pastor. I have found that shepherding and being an example to the flock is exactly what the Lord ordained me to do at CWC for many years now; not just as children’s pastor, but as a youth pastor, then men’s pastor, and even now as the executive pastor; overseeing all ministries. As pastor Al’s assistant I have been given the privileged opportunity to set things in order and exercise the gifts that He has entrusted to me for the people at CWC.
