CATEGORIES AND DESCRIPTIONS

ACTIVITY GROUPS

Definition: These are Fellowship Groups based on “Certain Interests” to help you stay in community with other believers.

Types: Crochet, Hiking, Fitness, Jeep Club, Basketball, etc.

Qualifications:  Members of these groups are encouraged to attend the “D & N” classes of the DNA process.

 

SERMON BASED GROUPS 

Definition: Groups meet in homes to discuss Pastor Al's sermon from the previous week to promote fellowship with other believers in His name.


Types: Based on Location, Age, Child Care, Gender, etc.

Qualifications: Members of these groups are encouraged to attend the “D & N” classes of the DNA process.

Note: A 'question sheet'  based on weekly sermons are provided each week for these group type.

 

SERVICE GROUPS 

Definition: Most Service Groups are “Ministry Teams” that are considered Life Groups which do life together in service at CWC.

Types: Cafe, Safety, Life Center, First Touch, Media, Worship, CM, etc.

Qualifications: Must complete “ACTIVATE” portion of the DNA process.

STUDY GROUPS 

Definition: Groups which meet to dig deeper into God’s Word for greater spiritual maturity and community.

Types: Men’s,  Women’s, Co-ed, Bible-based, Topic/Curriculum-based, D-Path, etc.

Qualifications: Members of these groups are encouraged to attend the “D & N” classes of the DNA process.

Note: Only pre-approved curriculum may be used.

 

SUPPORT GROUPS 

Definition: Groups meet for encouragement, fellowship and direction from God’s Word pertaining directly to the support type needed.

Types: Most Excellent Way, Alzheimers, Divorce Care, Mom’s Embracing Mom’s, etc.

Qualifications: Members of these groups are encouraged to attend the “D & N” classes of the DNA process.
